State of the Muses

series: Avatar: The Last Airbender
tagging priority: ■■■■■: I can't stop. He's a high enough priority that my other characters suffer.
muse strength: ■■■■■□: I only feel more and more comfortable with him. But I'm sure there's still room for improvement.
cast strength: ■■■■■: I'm filling this up only because of the awesomeness of having the full Gaang - plus Roku and Iroh! I do still hope for Fire Nation girls and the coming of Korra characters (especially now that Season 1 seems to be definitely ending before the next cycle)
plotting capabilities: ■■■■□: Aang's very easy to get involved in things and it's plenty of fun throwing him around. And I do have ideas for more stuff to come, in addition to the inevitable havoc that will come with the Korra characters.
general fun level: ■■■■□: Plenty of fun hijinks so far.

character: Marceline (donteatmyfries)
series: Adventure Time
tagging priority: ■■□□□: I've been horribly laggy with her tags.
muse strength: ■■□□□: I'm pretty uncertain on how well I'm doing her voice. As awesome a character as she is, she's much harder to channel than I've anticipated. So most of her threads in her intro post are just banter where I've mostly failed in making her even trolly enough. But it depends... I have bursts where I feel more confident with her.
cast strength: □□□□□: I had thought Marceline would be an easy character to throw around without any cast, but her personality does make it pretty hard to establish good CR.
plotting capabilities: ■■□□□: I know she has so much potential, but I have yet to utilize it. I still haven't sent her to Pinkie Pie's party!
general fun level: ■■□□□: Sadly not as fun as expected.
likelihood of drop: ■■■□□: Really not sure. I have to try getting more threads going wither her (probably after the event) and see if I can get myself to a point where I'm satisfied with her. Otherwise, I may consider baby's first drop.


character: Greed (moremoremore)
series: Fullmetal Alchemist
tagging priority: ■■□□□: It's only good compared to Marceline.
muse strength: ■■■□□: I kind of waver in confidence with Greed, although quick reviews of key scenes usually helps.
cast strength: ■■■■■: Greed's only threaded with a portion of the sizable cast so far, but they're a blast..
plotting capabilities: ■■□□□: Greed has the potential for good stuff around the FMA cast if I can get him out more. But it's also hard to decide which posts outside of castmates to throw him at. I've also been wanting to throw him at some posts set in bars so that maybe he could go back to some Devil's Nest-era chilling. Mostly he's just unexplored potential so far himself. I've also been considering sending him on one of the missions or the draft too, that could help.
general fun level: ■■■□□: Most of his threads so far have a lot of philosophical musings, which are fun in their own way, but it'd probably be cooler when I get him into situations where he's just dicking around. Yeah, I need to get him into a bar.
likelihood of drop: ■□□□□: I'm still working him out, but it's a possibility at some point.

So yeah. Here we are. Aang's my primary guy and the one who I can pretty much always tag with. Greed and Marceline... more wavery, but I don't think they're necessarily in direct danger yet. I am still considering muses of course, especially if I wind up dropping one, but I think I won't try for a roster of more than four by next app cycle. I think I can manage multiple characters, the problem is feeling strongly invested in them more often. So just further deliberation.

Possible Apps:
-Marvel: Just in case I want to jump on the Marvel bandwagon. I'm mostly looking at Emma Frost from comics canon (possibly Wolverine and the X-Men if I'm satisfied as I watch through it) or a slight consideration for Beast. If I do go with Emma, I fear my roster will wind up being Aang + a bunch of kinda jerks.
-Naruto: I usually love reading the Naruto threads and I've been making my way through the anime (already up to date manga-wise). Rock Lee's still being considered at some level (especially since I have the perfect entrance in mind), but I won't have much of a good idea until I reach some of his more important storylines. Especially since I passed over Armstrong, so Rock would be my lethal joke character. One other longshot consideration would be Kakashi. But it actually could still be a while until I'm ready to app for this series.
-The Venture Bros.: I need to rewatch the series to see if I want to play 21. He could be a fun fanboy character, and he's had a surprising amount of character development that could be fun to explore in Luceti. The main challenge with him would be capturing his skill at high-speed cultural references.
-Star Wars: I do still have some Han Solo interest. He also needs canon review (particularly of the Han Solo Trilogy). As long as he doesn't overlap with Greed too much (especially since I'm looking at the version who's younger and more free-spirited), he might be a possibility.

There are probably plenty of other alternatives I'm forgetting right now.
